ILS 140 Class Times: Mondays 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM lectures/seminars; 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Reading/Lab
Where: Both lectures and laboratory times in Longhouse at NEC Campus.
Important note: ILS classes are delivered as as Hybrid Learning (online/in-class blend) Mode. This section of the course will switch to in person when given permission by NEC to do so.
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and language needed to bridge the gap between doomsday projections of catastrophe and the strategies being discussed today to build resilience. Methods of climate change adaptation in BC and beyond will be explored in the context of how Indigenous Knowledge may help inform more effective research, planning and policies.The course is divided into 14 modules. Each module contains information for you to read, alongside activities and assignments for you to complete. Assignments and exercises that are graded by your instructor for course credit are clearly marked.
This course examines the critical issues involved in climate change and what we can do about it.
